Inspiring Innovation  

An exciting new series of events organised by Generic Skills Dundee in response to the EPSRC's aims to increase researchers awareness of/encourage innovative approaches to the exploitation of research. Equally relevant and transferable to researchers from all backgrounds - and from those interested in exploring potential commercial applications for their research to those who are looking to explain the potential positive impact of their research (grants).

The first events in this series the CEO Forum and the Intellectual Property Workshop were held on the 24th of March.

Business Planning Workshop - Bench to Boardroom (29th April 2010)

Could your research lead to the next big spin-out, or are you looking to set up your own business in another field? This course focuses on the business planning skills needed to get started.

Managing Finances Workshop - A Starter Course for Business and Research (19th May 2010)

Learn the basics so you can understand how financial accounts are prepared, how to read accounts, how to prepare a basic revenue budget, and the basics of taxation.
