EPSRC CASE Industrial studentships

EPSRC have recently announced the next round of CASE Industrial studentships.

The application is made by the industrial partner, a studentship awarded and the funding allocated to the university. A requirement of this particular call is that any collaboration must be a new one, either a new SME or a new business unit within a larger company that have not participated with the host university previously.

There are various ways to be funded under this scheme:

  • The list below shows the companies and agents given an allocation of studentships by EPSRC for direct contact.
  • The other method for this call is for any eligible SME to apply direct to EPSRC. If you have any SME contacts that maybe interested in a new collaboration it would be worth letting them know of the call.

A contribution is required to the academic institution by the industrial partner towards the cost of the project. The minimum top-up contribution is £22,419 over the 3.5 years (i.e., equivalent to 1/3 of and in addition to the estimated EPSRC award of £66,838) to be paid directly to the university. Part of this contribution may be used towards increasing the student stipend.

The total funding available under this call is £17.8m equating to approx. 266 studentships.
