The Future of Digital Content

On the 1st of December 2009 we hosted a Creative Industries Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) Beacons for Innovation Event focusing on the future of Digital Media.  The aim of the event was to explore and address the issue of how digital content will be consumed and distributed five years from now and beyond.  The event was a huge success, which more people attending than originally anticipated.

The event consisted of an afternoon workshop in which the participants were given the opportunity to draw on the knowledge of others working with digital content, to discuss the future of digital content in the next 5-7 years and to identify key areas of opportunity.  The digital lounge, which took place in the evening, allowed the participants to discuss the issues raised at the workshop further in a more relaxed and personal setting.

We would like to thank the key speakers, John Cass (Director of the Creative Industries KTN), Peter Richardson (University if Dundee) and Nina Warburton (The Alloy) for their thought-provoking presentations.  We would also like to thank everyone who participated and hope to see you all again.
