ESPRC Industrial CASE studentships competition

The Engineering and Physical Research Council is welcoming applications from business for their Industrial CASE studentships competition.

Industrial CASE allows industry to drive the research project of their choice according to industry needs. ESPRC provides funding for PhD studentships where businesses take the lead in arranging projects, which should be in the area of engineering and physical sciences, with an academic partner of their choice.  Funding is available for at least 40 PhD studentships and will support students for 3.5 years. Each student will spend at least three months at the company.

The closing date for proposals from companies is 4pm on Thursday 7 May 2009.

More information about the scheme and applications is available by clicking here to visit the ESPRC website.

A workshop will be held at the Innovation Portal in March to provide more information on this scheme and other sources of funding for innovation projects. Details to be announced soon.
