Building Alliances

The BioDundee Conference is now in its 10th year, and is well established as the largest life sciences event in Scotland of its kind. The conference aims to bring together both the academic and commercial community to explore the commercialisation of scientific research.

The conference this year is entitled "Building Alliances" and will focus on partnerships and collaborations within the life sciences sector over 4 key sessions. The first session will look at the initial stages of forming a partnership; how to identify the right partner, and what large pharmaceutical companies are looking for in a partnership. The second session will explore the various boundaries that exist when forming a partnership with multiple organisations, such as cross-cultural communication between companies, and the practicalities of managing international partnerships. The third session will highlight funding opportunities that exist for collaborative research and development, with the final session taking a close look at successful collaborations in practice.

In addition to the conference itself, BioDundee is also hosting a golf competition on Wednesday 16th, and a Gala Reception and Dinner on the evening of Thursday 17th.
