The CEO Forum is the first in an exciting new series of events organised by Generic Skills Dundee in response to the EPSRC's aims to increase researchers awareness of/encourage innovative approaches to the exploitation of research. Equally relevant and transferable to researchers from all backgrounds - and from those interested in exploring potential commercial applications for their research to those who are looking to explain the potential positive impact of their research (grants).
The Focus of the Forum is:
Whether you are contemplating a career in business, or pursuing an academic route (understanding potential impacts of your research), you can't afford to miss this opportunity to find out from company CEOs in EPSRC fields such as Steve Parkes (Star-Dundee), Paul Farley (Tag-Games), Graeme Malcom (M Squared Lasers Ltd), Colin MacDonald (Realtime Worlds) and Pentech Ventures as to their approach to Innovation and Enterprise/their routes to their current positions.Join us for this half-day city campus based event on the morning of Wednesday 24th of March featuring talks, a Question and Answer Session and a fantastic opportunity to speak to business leaders, and find out what support the University has to offer for future entrepreneurs. The forum will be followed by a networking lunch giving you the opportunity to speak directly to the CEO's, and to network with other colleagues in the University involved and interested in the commercial aspects of research.
This event is free and open to all interested University research staff and students.
To book please reply to this email (Helen-Louise Murphy) to reserve a place before Friday 19th March.
